Amethyst, traditionally the birthstone for February, is a symbol of spiritual opening, sincerity, & peace of mind.  Also representative of love, it is the anniversary jewel for the 4th and 6th years of marriage.  The swallow is welcomed as a herald of spring, abundance and happiness.
